Richmond Veg Fest…

Was AWESOME as expected.

Got to talk to tons of new people about vegan fitness and the must-see documentary Forks Over Knives and meet some people who’d been following our blog (thanks for stopping by guys!!).

Javier, who teaches body weight exercises and break dancing, showed us how to do headstands and

handstands step by step…or do them eventually with some consistent  practice anyway, which I intend to do. It’d make a stunning finish to a bodybuilding routine someday!

Derek got to show off some 90-pound dumbbell snatches, though I did thwart his plan to do them while oiled up with cooking spray in a pair of the women’s running shorts we were selling…he claimed it would draw a crowd…Maybe next year.

I love doing these events: the prospect is always a little daunting – 8 hours in 95 degree temps talking up a storm – but they remind me what all this effort is about. Changing the world!
