My Pre-Contest Meals

Seeing as I just wrapped up one contest prep and am now staying in pre contest mode for the 2013 Bodyspace spokesmodel search (Vote Treesize!!), I thought now would be a good time to post some of the meals I’ve been having over the last few weeks (see below). If you follow our Facebook Page you’ve probably seen some of these already. Sorry about the image quality, most of these are cell phone shots – we’ll get a nice food photography set up someday!

 

My daily meal plan looks something like:

Meal 1: Oatmeal or oatbran w/ blueberries, protein shake with soymilk and banana

Meal 2: My whole foods ‘bean shake‘ with a grapefruit and 1-2 pieces of sprouted grain toast.

Meal 3: Lunch, see examples

Meal 4: Varied, either a small meal or another bean shake

Meal 5: Dinner, see examples

Meal 6: Varies, a handful of pumpkin seeds and/or a protein shake with oats – I often skip this one.

 

Buckwheat Soba Noodles w/ Cubed Tofu
Gardein and Fava Beans w/ Steamed Broccoli
Tofu Scramble w/ Broccoli Tomatoes and Onions, and Oatmeal
Quinoa Tofu and Veggies w/ a Sprouted Grain Pita
Black Beans, Tofu and Potato Slices w/ Steamed Broccoli
Brown Rice Pasta w/ Lentil ‘Meat’ Sauce and Steamed Broccoli
Black Beans and Seitan w/ Peppers and Onions
